From The Courier-Journal.com: More than 100,000 Jefferson County homeowners – mostly in St. Matthews and the East End – will face property reappraisals next year and probably suffer “sticker shock” too when future tax bills arrive, the top assessment official said. "Home sales and values are skyrocketing, and sales drive the bus" in how property is evaluated for tax purposes, Jefferson Property Valuation Administrator Tony Lindauer said in late October.
