Finally, Something Is Moving In the Right Direction for Fatigued Homebuyers (Courier-Journal, August 2021)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The "hardest buyer's market" local real estate broker Jay Gulick has ever seen has gotten a little easier in Louisville. But while home inventory numbers in the region are "moving in the right direction," they're still well below where they stood a year ago. “The most recent data – I mean, it’s sort of funny to say this – but the inventory was only down 19% year over year,” said Gulick, of Kentucky Select Properties. “So in July, it’s down 19% over what it was in July 2020. But you have to contrast that with April, when we were 49.7% down from 2020.” Read more.
