With a master's degree in historic preservation from Boston Architectural College and a passion for community-building, my move from the world of architecture/design to that of real estate was a natural transition. I believe that good planning and smart decisions contribute to making property one of the most valuable investments of a person's lifetime.
Though my family and I have moved around the country (and world!) to support my partner's career in medicine, I have lived in Kentucky for a combined 18 years. First, as an undergraduate at the University of Kentucky, and for the last decade, as a proud Louisvillian.
Formerly a preservationist at Metro Louisville's Planning and Design Services Department, I acquired firsthand experience with the city's development activities. This included land development, planning and design, vacant property initiatives, housing & community development programs, permits & licensing, land acquisition, public art, and clean/green sustainable partnerships. My work focused particularly on properties within preservation and overlay districts, such as Old Louisville, Cherokee Triangle, Clifton, West Main Street, Butchertown, NULU, the Highlands, Limerick, and Parkland. In addition to these districts, I'm also well-acquainted with historic neighborhoods like Crescent Hill, St. Matthews, Cherokee Gardens, Seneca Gardens, Glenview, Beechmont, Audubon Park, Germantown, Portland, and Smoketown.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with family, traveling, yoga, Barre3, biking, gardening, dining out, and supporting local business and the arts. As a parent, I try to remain mindful of the impacts our choices have on future generations. Kentucky Select's similarly held beliefs are what attracted me to the company. Together, we are committed to creating meaningful relationships and promoting progress for this place we call "home."
