Tim Koons-McGee

Tim is a proud graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Economics. Now just a ‘weekend warrior’, Tim was an accomplished swimmer and water polo player while at Princeton.

A married father of one daughter, Kaitlin, Tim is probably best known around the Louisville area as the co-founder and co-owner of The Comfy Cow. Prior to the recent sale of the stores, Tim was the CEO of a company that grew from just one scoop shop to 9 regional locations in under 8 years.

Tim has been involved extensively with our community through his participation in the Louisville Independent Business Association (LIBA), as well as serving as President of the Frankfort Avenue Business Association (FABA) for 2 years.

Prior to Comfy Cow, Tim owned a home remodeling business where he was able to apply his love of old houses and architecture. In addition, believe it or not, Tim was a horse trainer for several years out at Churchill Downs. His Louisville roots run deep.

With a strong belief in an honest and open approach to business, Tim would probably best be described by his friends as someone who ‘loves to have fun’ and ‘has a great sense of humor’.

Tim is also the proud parent of 4 rescue animals, 2 scruffy dogs and a couple of really sassy cats.
